Just joined the list so thought I should post the ones I'm researching. My first know Zimmerman on this line is CHRISTIAN b 1724 in Germany. He m Catherine _____ in Germany. She died in childbirth with Johannes (John) c1746. In 1749, he brought John and came to America. In 1754, he married Anna Marie Barbara Simon. They belonged to St. Jacob's Church in York Co., PA. After their children were born, they migrated south to the VA Valley. He died in Augusta Co., VA. My second Zimmerman line belongs to my husband's side: We have GEORGE Zimmerman b 1/26/1858 in Hazleton, PA. He m Martha Kephart b10/9/1863 in PA. According to his death certificate his father was SOLOMON but I haven't been able to locate him. George & Martha lived in Clearfield Co., PA. Willing to share info.
