--WebTV-Mail-849591454-186 Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit HI Caroline, I'm looking for info on Eliza Zimmerman (1872-1959) m. George Kromer. They lived in Lehighton, Carbon County. Ufortunately I don't have any more information that that. I think on their marriage license is said she was a servant but I can't seem to find a copy of it in my piles of stuff. With our Zimmermans being located so closely I thought we might have a connection. Thanks, Valerie --WebTV-Mail-849591454-186 Content-Disposition: Inline Content-Type: Message/RFC822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Received: from mailsorter-101-2.iap.bryant.webtv.net (209.240.198.98) by postoffice-111.bryant.webtv.net; Sun, 10 Jan 1999 09:10:23 -0800 (PST) Return-Path: <[email protected]> Received: from bl-14.rootsweb.com (bl-14.rootsweb.com [204.212.38.30]) by mailsorter-101-2.iap.bryant.webtv.net (8.8.8/ms.graham.14Aug97) with ESMTP id JAA22989; Sun, 10 Jan 1999 09:10:22 -0800 (PST) Received: (from [email protected]) by bl-14.rootsweb.com (8.8.5/8.8.5) id IAA07853; Sun, 10 Jan 1999 08:59:36 -0800 (PST) Resent-Date: Sun, 10 Jan 1999 08:59:36 -0800 (PST) From: [email protected] Message-ID: <[email protected]> Date: Sun, 10 Jan 1999 12:07:15 EST Old-To: [email protected] Mime-Version: 1.0 Subject: Re: [ZIMMERMAN-L] John George Zimmerman of Berks/Monroe Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: AOL 4.0 for Windows 95 sub 205 Resent-Message-ID: <"p-6iiD.A.J1B.0xNm2"@bl-14.rootsweb.com> To: [email protected] Resent-From: [email protected] Reply-To: [email protected] X-Mailing-List: <[email protected]> archive/latest/467 X-Loop: [email protected] Precedence: list Resent-Sender: [email protected] Thank you for your list of Maxatawny/Monroe County Zimmermans, I am sure it will prove helpful to me. I have never been able to connect with them and have been generally confused from time to time over the last years. My Leonhardt was in the militia in the Rev war and many people have gotten DAR and SAR through him, but I have been unable to find anyone who went further back than that. He settled in What is now West Penn Twp - then in Northampton County. Some of his offspring stayed there - others scattered - if you have questions on these please feel free to contact me. My expertise lies in West Penn and Mahoning Twp in carbon County. What church do your Zimmermans attend if other than German Reformed. Some Zimmermans were Mennonite and also some Jewish. Leonhardt became Evangelical and joined the Albright movement. Keep in touch.
