Like Rob Bowe, my husband's ancestors are from the northern area of Germany, specifically Stettin, Pommern (now Szczecin, Poland). Our Zimmermans also settled in Dodge Co., WI. One of the main reasons I set up the database was to help locate direct descendants of my husband's great-grandparents, William Zimmerman/n and Bridget Bowe. Last month I was delighted to receive an email from Grace LaRayne in Wisconsin. She is a descendant of William and Bridget's eldest son, Fred. Others have also had some success in making contacts: Gerald Zimmerman found his great grandfather, Gustav Zimmerman, listed in the database by Cheryl Baker.
