I have Swiss Zimmerman's, they came over ca. 1880s. Christian Z settled in Osborne County. Kansas. He chose a spot as close to a hill as he could find in all that flat land :-) Some of Chris. Zim's siblings settled in Oregon. Several of his grandchildren moved there later: Rhoda, Ernst and Ada . His son, Walter Zimmerman moved to Oregon when he married, had my Grandmother near Hillsboro in 1896. Returned to Osborne Co, Ks. Donna SEIDEL, GYGAX, ZIMMERMAN
