Hi, I'm new to this list so forgive me for not giving too much information. My relatives were in Sheffield, Iowa and Mason city. I have lost total contact with any of these people so it makes it really difficult to find anyone that I am looking for. The only thing I have is an old newspaper clipping with a family reunion held in l918. According to the article the reunion was held in the Zimmerman "forty" in the area known as "Barkers Woods." It says that many church and family reunions were held here,now occupied by the Louis Kammrad family. Has anyone ever heard of this place? Other names metioned are as follows, Maria Piegel Zimmrerman,and her five sons Jake,Gus,George,Ad,and Orin. Gus Zimmerman, Mary Zimmerman Inman,Cynthia Zimmerman Wilde,Leila Zimmerman Brotchie,(George Zimmerman), grandfather of( Jack Zimmerman),present editor of the Sheffield "Press".
