I think Bayern is the same as Bavaria. Do you know what city/village Lena was from? My grandfather, George Zimmerman, was born in a town called Neuhaus (Ninehouse) Bavaria. I haven't been able to locate this town. He immigrated to the US in 1869 and settled near Albany, MN in Stearns County. [email protected]
