Have been there but not in quite awhile. I know that Paul Andree in FLA, had sent me some info on a Johann Jacob Zimmerman who had been born in Germany 1642 & immigrated to USA, but thus far has not found a direct connection with our line. If you have not gotten in touch with him as yet, email me privately & I will send you his email ad. Perhaps the Johann line is yours. We are of DAVID ZIMMERMAN 1786-1857 born in PA.
