Hi Lynda, I have a David Zimmerman, 1787 and served in War of 1812 also. He enlisted in Union Co, PA and married Mary Kelly, 1796 in Union Co, PA I don't know who his parents were, or where he was born. However, there were several Zimmerman's buried in the Keister Cemetery near Lauralton, Union Co, PA. They may have moved there after David's birth. Do you have any info that may connect these two. I have a line that goes back to the early 1600's, but haven't made a positive connection to it yet.
