Donald, Thank you for the information. I am happy to know that KOELPIN/KIELPIN is in Poland like the Mormon library said. The book I found this Zimmerman info in said "near" Recht so I assumed Recht was a larger town, but that name could also have been changed; however, the Mormon librarian could not find RECHT in the book where she found Koelpin (German) to Kielpin(Polish). Seems strange these people would go from near Berlin in Poland down-over to Sarbrucken and then up to Westfalen. That had to be a long walk with a bunch of kids. Were those the GOOD OLE DAYS? This past April we were in Volklingen and area, but only to see what the area was like. We had to get into Thuringen then back to Amsterdam for our flight to England. The large map of Germany we bought over there does not have RECH nor does it have Koelpin in Brandenburg near Berlin. It does have most of the other places Zimmerman and wives families lived near Saarbrucken. We wanted to get to Pottsdam, but hosts in Germany said not to go because there was too much construction. Zimmerman is like Smith & Brown. Thank you again for your information and good luck with your research and Happy Holidays, Jean W. Donald M.
