A David Zimmerman (with Henry Shultz) bought land 22 Mar 1816 in S6 T16 R 6 of Stark county, Ohio, now part of Brown township, Carroll county. My GG grandparents John F. & Margaret Zimmerman lived a few miles away in Osnaburg township, Stark county during the 1830s and 1840s. Don't know if there was any connection between these families. Can there be a >connection among them? One researcher claims the grandfather of my John F. Zimmerman was John Peter Zimmerman. I haven't verified that claim and I have no information on him. It is quite likely that he landed at Philadelphia. John F. Zim was Lutheran. He and his siblings were born in Hardy county, (West) Virginia. By the way, Don, terrific name!
