Have just discovered that not only am I a Zimmerman by marriage (family came to U.S. from France about 1890) but am also descended from Zimmermans who arrived in U.S. in 1700s. She married John Summers 01 Dec 1825 in Alexandria, VA. iii. John Henry Zimmerman, born 09 Nov 1809; died 01 Sep 1854 in VA. He married Arina Elizabeth (Zimmerman) ??.
