Oct. 1829 in Enders, Pa.;d. in 1885 in or near Enders, and was buried in Fetterhoff's Cemetery, near Fisherville, Pa. His first wife was Mary Ann, b. Nov. 17, 1828 and d. June 7, 1860. His second wife was Sarah, b. in 1831 and d. in 1892. Their family names are unknown, also their history, but both are buried in Fetterhoff's Cemetary. John served in the Civil War as an infantry-man, in Company A, Pa., Volunteers. He was a coal-miner and killed in the mines. Ch.: Jacob, Birthdate & place unknown, m. Kate Barry. Had three children; Levi, Valeria and another son. Lucy, Birthdate & place unknown, d. at about age 12. A daughter, Birthdate & place unknown, m. Will Kreiner. A daughter, Birthdate & place unknown, m. Daniel Klinger. A daughter, Birthdate & place unknown, m. Will Snyder.
