At the beginning of the year (2003) I was correspondng with a Robert Zimmerman who had just moved and gotten a new email address. He sent me some email and some information I needed for my Zimmerman line. Perhaps he is the one you are looking for. Hi. My Zimmermans are from OH>IA>KS. My earliest Zimmerman is George W. ZIMMERMAN, b 1823 in Ross County, Ohio; d 1895 in Center Point, Linn County, Iowa. He married second Maria Jane CHURCH b. 1845 in Allen County, Ohio, d. 1916 in Marengo, Iowa. My grandfather was their youngest child of 11 children, born in 1887. I have a lot of descendants, if anyone is interested. Also, my tree is at World Connect on RootsWeb. Just search for George W. ZIMMERMAN.
