    2. Wish I could say I did know these names, but I don't. I have been trying to find my Zimmerman for years now, but no luck either. Polly is hard to find. She married a Makeley, Peter. She died in 1850 after childbirth of my gggrandfather Levan Zimmerman Makeley. Do you know where exactly in this area they might have been and where buried? Vicki

    3. The name "Levan" rings a bell for me. In Strassburger-Hinkle's book, "Pennsylvania German Pioneers" is found "Lists of Pennsylvania German Pioneers, 1727-1775, [List 1 A} A List of ye Palatine Passengers, Imported on ye Ship William & Sarah, Willm Hill, Mar [Master] from Rotterdam. Philada ye 18th Sept. 1727." Listed among the passengers is Daniel Levan, Con. and Andw Simmerman. The marriage record of Sebastian Zimmerman and Anna Elizabeth Levan, Dec. 11, 1733 in Maxatawny Twp., Berks Co., PA is found in the church records of a Rev. Johann Casper Stover.
