I have no knowledge of any family other than his wife, Elizabeth (Louise) Gundermann and their children, August, born August 1866: Robert, born July 1890: both born in Europe and accompanied parents to US in Jun 1891: and my grandmother Johanna, born April 23, 1892 in Sheboygan. Also as I said earlier, John was killed in Racine Dec 25, 1944 after getting off city bus and being hit by auto while walking to his home. Racine city library has Journal Times account on microfilm. I believe paper is dated Dec 26 or 27, 1944. John, Louise and Robert are buried in Mound Cemetery, very near the Wadewitz monument. And yes, as a chiild I knew him and remember him very fondly.
