She married James Matthias Hawk. We have a letter to her dated 1900 from her uncle "E Zimmerman". The letter refers to Almira's mother visiting him from Spencerville. There is also a reference to an "A Zimmerman" (with a middle initial S or J) from Goshen. If anyone can helpp me identify these people and their connections I would surely appreciate it. This is the only evidence I have of Almira's background. I will be glad to exchange information. Thanks!
