    3. Pete - Thanks for your help. And that's my problem. I am not sure of who the parents of George are. I believe that they're Andrew Zimmerman and Ruth Taylor. A short biography of that family is found in the History of Hardin County, wherein it states that Andrew and Ruth Zimmerman came to Ross County about 1800 and removed to Hardin County in 1830. In the 1850 U.S. Federal Census of Ohio, Hardin County, Roundhead Township, I find George and wife Sarah and Ruth Zimmerman aged 70. Andrew Zimmerman's will mentions George, but no one else. According to the above mentioned History, Andrew and Ruth's children were John, Andrew, Jefferson, Obadiah, Elijah D., George, Elizabeth, Margaret, Delilah, Maria, Lavonia and Eliza Jane. I also believe that there is another daughter named Emily E. from marriage records that I received. I couldn't find any record of Andrew & Ruth Zimmerman in Ross County. There were no land records in Ross County, or Hardin County, either. If George IS the son of Andrew Zimmerman and Ruth Taylor, I already have the lineage back to Andreas Zimmerman in Philadelphia County, now Montgomery County, PA from 3 other Zimmerman researchers. But I'm just not sure. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. 3. If Andrew's will mentions George and no one else - seems to me that is strong evidence, although it does not close the case. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rita Guzzo" <rita.guzzo@comcast.net> To: <ZIMMERMAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 02, 2004 8:36 PM Subject: Re: [ZIMMERMAN-L] searching... > Pete - Thanks for your help.
