    2. Hi Alan, I'm Jon Zimmerman. The Marie Zimmerman I was looking for was found. I'm sorry to say that it's not the same Maria your searching for. If by chance you ran across anything that might further my quest, I'd sincerely appreciate it. In return I'll keep my eyes open for you. I currently reside in Colorado. Below I've included some information on my grandmother, Marie Zimmerman. I am the son of Arthur. Thankyou for responding. 3. Hi, I am looking for anyone researching the family of Jacob & Anna Maria (Schmidt) Zimmermann. They had the following sons that I know for sure came to America, Heinrich, John, Phillip, Conrad & Adam. Anna Came over with Adam in 1860, it appears that perhaps Jacob died over in Germany prior to Anna coming to be with her other sons. Jacob's brother John also came to America. All except for Phillip settled in Wisconsin. Phillip settled in Nebraska. Heinrich arrived in New York on April 23, 1855, married Katherine Krackenberger in 1860 in Sheboygan, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin and had 16 children. John married Christina Loos in 1861 in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin and had 10 children. It is unknown when he arrived. Phillip I have very little information on, other than he came for Heinrich's funeral and was living in Nebraska at the time, in 1900. Conrad married Anna Allenbach in 1870 in Sheboygan County and had 3 children. It is also unknown when he arrived. Adam arrived with his mother Anna Maria Schmidt Zimmermann in 1860 and married Rosine Moser in 1872 in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. From there they moved to Marathon County, Wisconsin and had at least two known sons, possibly more children. All the above were born in Ludwigshoehe, Hesse Darmstaedt, Germany. Jacob and Anna Maria Schmidt Zimmermann were married in 1832 in Ludwigshoehe, Hesse Darmstaedt Germany. Anyone who may be researching this family I would love to hear from, I have alot of information and would be willing to exchange, Thanks, Debie Blindauer [email protected]

I have not yet traced Ellmaker, altho' I have some Civil War correspondence between an Ellmaker and a McIlvaine, which I shall post soon. Susan Carpenter was the daughter of Heinrich Zimmerman, Jr. (1673-1749), son of Heinrich Zimmerman and Anna Morgert (both from Switzerland). -- joe
