There was a group of Moravian Zimmmermans who lived near Winston-Salem, NC. The ancestor was Christian Zimmerman. He had a large family. I do not have information about the family you posted but would suggest that they do relate to the Moravian Christian Zimmerman. Good luck in your search. Robert Carpenter
Visit the Zimmerman/Zimmermann Wisconsin database. Just started in September it has 202 listings, with information such as the time period and location in Wisconsin, names of parents, birth date/location, death date/location, name of spouse and name of contact person who submitted the information. These are not simply listings of one family of Zimmerman/n. Rather it is a compilation of many different Zimmerman/n researchers posting information that they have, in hopes of finding others searching their line. Submissions from individual researchers have varied from one name to dozens. The site also includes links to other sites of interest to people researching these surnames in Wisconsin. Submissions are welcome! The more names that are submitted, the greater the chance researchers will be able to find others searching the family lines. Hi Jon Thanks for your answer to my question. (You're right --- your Marie is not my Maria. But thanks anyhow.) (I didn't see your original question, so it is just chance that we both are/were looking for Maria Zimmermans.) One question about your data: do you have any dates and places for your John Zimmerman? (Marie's husband.) Oh, and do your Zimmermans have any Franklin Co. PA connection? Thanks. The Marie Zimmerman I was looking for was found. I'm sorry to say that it's not the same Maria your searching for.
