    3. Yes, Doris, Kris' Johan Jost was on the Patience in 1749. I am trying to see if Peter and Christian Zimmerman on the same ship were related to my GGGG Grandfather Johan Jost Zimmerman. I have data on Johan Jost's ancestry in Germany. Do you have anything on Christian's so we can try to link them? Donald M. 3. Christina: My GG Grandfather was George (born 28 Jan 1817) who was a brother of your 3rd. GG Grandfather Adam. I was at their parents, Johan David and Katherine's, graves in Hardinger Cemetery, Knox County, Ohio this summer. Do you know that a book was published last year on J. David's father Johan Jost Zimmerman who arrived in America in 1749 on the ship Patience? It is complete with all the people back 3 generations into Siegen, Germany. I am living in Gratiot County, Michigan where George moved to in 1854 from Seneca County, Ohio. We must get together on the "Net" to fill in more blanks. Reverend Donald M. 2. I am his great granddaughter. I am also trying to research this family. I know very little about my dad's family. I have copies of Samuel's military papers, and some information, but not much. I believe his father might have been William Zimmerman born about 1819 in Green County Kentucky, but not sure.

    2. Wish i could, but I can't. My father was Jake (Lyndal) W. Zimmerman, born 2/18/1907 in Pacific, Missouri. His father was Fred Booth Zimmerman born 4/1/1874 in Missouri. His father was Samuel J. Zimmerman born 1842 in Washington County, Missouri. His father was William Zimmerman born about 1819 in Green County, Kentucky. I can go no further than that.

    3. Read your message with much interest, but unfortunately my Zimmermans do not match with yours. But what a neat site and a wonderful way to get information online. By the way, my father was James William Zimmerman b. 1913 in Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas, his father was Walter Leroy Zimmerman b. 1887 in Center Point, Linn County, Iowa, and his father was George W. Zimmerman b. 1823 in Ross County, Ohio. I have not been able to find George's parents. If anyone out there is descended from George Zimmerman I would love to hear from you. James was Walter's only son that lived and James only had 2 daughters. Thanks. 3. Chani, I thought I recognized several of your names from the entries you submitted to the Zimmerman & Zimmermann database for Wisconsin. While checking over the names I found something that might be helpful to you. Among the children you listed for Fredrich and Sophia Zimmermann is the name Valentine Zimmermann. I checked the database as I recalled a woman named Paula Floyd sending me information about a prayer card she found in the possessions of her grandmother, Barbara Plutz. Valentine is listed in the database and I linked his entry to the following information. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~zimzip/zim/more_info/valentine.htm Not sure if it will be of any help to you, but you might want to check it out. The information you supplied matches the date of death for Valentine on the prayer card.
