Hello Al, We are still looking for those same Zimmermans. We haven't talked for sometime. How are things going? Any new info? Peace, Bob [email protected]
My Zimmerman heritage is from Albany, Stearns Co., MN. I am looking for other Zimmermans that may be related to me. [Unable to display image] I hope this turns up some clues for either of us. Peace, Bob Zimmerman [email protected]
In a message dated 99-09-05 10:15:36 EDT, you write: << are there many zimmermans or carpenters in minnesota??? >> Yes, There are lots of Zimmermans. The ones around Fergus Falls, I think, are generally from Switzerland. The ones around Stearns, Todd, and Morrison counties (my interest) are from eastern Bavaria, on the Czech border. At least the ones I'm interested in. Descendents of George, John, Paul, and Joseph who arrived in the 1850 to 1870 time-frame.

I have a Swiss Zimmerman: Barbara Sevilla Zimmerman b. 5 Dec 1804 in Switz (unconfirmed) married in Solothurn (unconfirmed) to Benjamin Mollat (date unknown - first child born/baptized in 1822). Immigrated in 1833 to Ohio, settled in Coshocton Co. I have no information regarding her Zimmerman family. The Mollat/Mullet family was from the Oberramsern area in Solothurn. Where in Switzerland was your Benedict located? Where/when did he settle in the US? ---------- > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: [ZIMMERMAN-L] Swiss ZIMMERMANs > Date: Sunday, August 29, 1999 7:27 PM > > > --WebTV-Mail-28293-8388 > Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII > Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit > > Hey! > > Who has Swiss ZIMMERMANs? > > Benedict ZIMMERMAN was born in > Switzerland in 1797. > > I need the names of his parents. > > He married Esther HOLBORN(sp) > who was born in Lehigh Co., Pa. > Children included: > Margaret > Lavina > Peter > Benjamin > Jacob > Solomon > Gideon > and others > >
