Bob, I have 42 Zimmerman's on my listing, but no Peter or Michael. Sorry. Gladys
Does anyone have any info on this woman? she married a Peter William Makeley on 8-4-1846 and had three children with him: George Makeley, Jacob, and Levan Zimmerman Makeley. Believed to have died either in childbirth of last child or shortly after. Not sure but think they were living in NYS at the time around Alleghany Co. Any help finding her parents and siblings, would be helpful. she would have been my ggggrandmother. Vicki
Gladys..Accept my apologies for jumping in on your dialogue with Phoebe about Zimmerman's in SW PA. In your file of Zimmermans do you by chance have any thing on the Father of a Peter Zimmerman, b. 18May1836?. By Peter's death record his father is suppose to be named Michael. Assuming Peter to be the first born I place Michael's birth year around 1812. Thanks in advance for the reply . Bob Zimmerman, Indiana
Phoebe; Do you know who her parents were or any of her siblings? Have several Zimmerman's on my family listing from 17-1800's. Gladys

There is also a reference to an "A Zimmerman" (with a middle initial S or J) from Goshen. If anyone can helpp me identify these people and their connections I would surely appreciate it. This is the only evidence I have of Almira's background. I will be glad to exchange information. Thanks!
