Josh; I have a John L. (Landis???) bn 1813 PA. ( I think he was from Greene or Fayette Co) md Suzan HAMPTON bn 1814 VA( proaby Wayne\Cabell Co) WV. Hiram C. bn 1839 Greenup KY md Emily GILKERSON bn 1840 Wayne Co WV d/o John and Delilah DROWN Gilkerson. Other Zigler's, William A. bn 1842 KY; Elizabeth M. 1843; John H. 1845 VA; Helen M 1848 VA; Joseph P. bn 1849. John Ziegler was a wealthy man. His son and d-i-l ran a Hotel in Ashland in 1870/80. It is believed they died there and are buried in the Asland Cemetery. John had a brother Joshua who lived in CAbell Co WV. Hiram was a Col in the KY Union Army from Greenup/Boyd Co KY. I believe they came from a military family to eastern KY ca 1830. Just cant place my hands on some interesting material of the Zigler family.
