Results of my ZIEGLER research show the following - not much. Eitel ZIEGLER married Catherine MOEHANN Their son: Joachin Christoph ZIEGLER b 24 May 1724 in Germany, d 25 May 1760. (?) Christina WESSELL, daughter of Bartold WESSELL Their daughter: Sophia Helen ZIEGLER b 13 April 1761 in Lippe, Horn Co., Germany died 16 Sept 1852 in Adams Co., PA buriel in Upper Bermudian Cem. Adams County, PA. She married on 6 Feb 1780 in Hanover, York Co., PA John LEAS II, son of John LEAS I. It is a family tradition that when they married she could speak no English and he could speak no German. When Sophia applied for a widow's pension, she wasn't sure of the dates, so that may be the discrepency in her father's death and her birth. My ancestor, George Leas was one of their 14 children. Does anyone know of these ZIEGLERS? I can share LEAS, but the above is all I have on the ZIEGLERS. Thanks. Clarice Mitchell
