Urban Mattias Ziegler was the elderly "descendant" who, in 1970, completed thirteen years of research on the Christopher Ziegler family who emigrated from God's Acre (village), Halsheim, Bavaria, April 15, 1845. Landed in Baltimore, Maryland and migrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, via Detroit, Michigan. One of the first settlers, he built a log-cabin in "Columbus Settlement" now East Bristol, Wisconsin in August of 1845. Moved from East Bristol to settle near Norwalk at Summit, Wisconsin.
