I would like to make contact with any researchers who may have information on Michael Zeigler , Jr. a grandson of Frederick(Fritz) Zeigler of Orangeburgh , SC. Michael's wife was Sarah Baggot. Michael and his brother John Zeigler who married Sarah Lavica migrated from SC to MS in the early 1800's. Michael stayed in MS and his brother moved on to Catahoula Parish, LA. I have information on Michael's brother John Zeigler and his wife Sara Lavica and their descendants but almost nothing on Michael. Any help on Michael and his descendants would be appreciated. Hello --- Receintly found this geneology group and now I am jumping in. I have been searching for LEWIS ZEIGLER b: abt 1803 in SC married SARAH migrated SC>Autauga Co., AL>Jackson Parish, LA I do not believe my Lewis Zeigler is the same Lewis George Zeigler (1817-1894 Orangeburg, SC) (son of Jacob Zeigler Jr and Martha Sellers) that married (1.) Elvira Rickenbaker (2.) Sarah -- at first, I thought, that this might be my Lewis, but it looks like Lewis George stayed in SC. --- and based on census reports my Lewis was born about 1803. My biggest clue is that my Lewis inherited a great deal of money between the 1850-1860 census his estate went from $2500 to $60,000. An undocumented source says the money was inherited from a relative in VA. But that is all I have. J. (John) Jacob Zeigler's AL 1830 Will appoints Lewis Zeigler son-in-law to be an executor of his estate, this is probably my Lewis Zeigler. But there are no daughters named Sarah in the will. If anyone has any information on Lewis or AL and Zeigler's I would love to hear from you. Gin ginh@msn.com
Hello, I am looking for the ancestors of Sarah Ziegler Johnson (1869-1933) who married Peter A Metz (1868-1935). My information suggests her parents names were Sarah Ziegler and Isaac H Johnson, but I have no dates or additional information. I am unable to locate her mother in the Ziegler book, either. Thanks in advance, Gary -- Gary Anderson (mailto:gandrsn@ocean.st.usm.edu) http://tidepool.st.usm.edu/gandrsn/gandrsn.html

I am looking for information on George H. Ziegler. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany in November of 1837. He married Maria Elizabeth BIERBAUM. Anyone with information on one of these two people, please email me at jbbrian@cei.net. Thanks in advance!!!
Hi Mike-- Would be interested to know the father of your Michael. Our line has Susannahs and Michaels but are later than yours. Jacob Zeigler and Esther Buckwalter had both a Susannah (b 07 July 1787) and a Michael (b 21 Jan 1795). The older children were born in York Co, PA but Susannah was born in Augusta Co, VA and Michael in Franklin Co, VA. Just wondered if Jacob could have been kin to your Ziegler. Mike, I read your message about Susanna Ziegler. I have a interesting article from a book called, 'Lincoln That County in Kansas', by Dorothe Homan. It tells a story about a Susanna Ziegler daughter of Micheal involved in a incident called the Mulberry Creek Massacre that took place 2/2/1867...if you are interested or think there may be some conection to 'your' Susanna Ziegler...reply.... Sharon in Washinton
I am stuck on Susanna Ziegler, 1718-1801, wife of Jacob Schumacher, 1708-1793. Was she the Dau of Michael Ziegler? (all of SE PA). Any Info on Michael would be appreciated. Mike in NY
We are interested in obtaining any information of heirs of Christian F Ziegler, wife Lucia K Ziegler. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, and were married in 1876 (approximately). Their son was Oliver D Ziegler. At one time they owned land in David County (now Geary county). We are interested in finding where they were born, or Oliver. We think they were from Germany. Any information you may be able to provide will be appreciated. Perhaps if you know of some place we may look, we would appreciate your help in this. We look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely,
