Memory's not always reliable! Have you found a marriage date for Rebecca Crew's parents? I have them as John and Rebecca Crews, but no marriage date. The only John and Rebecca Crews I found in the Halifax marriages I have was John to Rebecca Sparrow on December 8, 1829, which would be too late to have been Rebecca who married Armistead parents. There is a John Crews, Sr. age 63 VA living in 1850 Halifax with his son, John Jr. and his wife, Rebecca.
