There's been some debate over that back when the list was more active than it is now. I've been to Halifax County twice and to Richmond three times to do research. My uncle, Dr. Harold Younger now deceased, hired a professional genealogist years ago to go and research information on this family. Her name was Marguerite (sp?)Hutchins. She is now deceased, but I have all her research. One thing you need to know is that people back then sometimes didn't know their own birth dates. They didn't have birthday celebrations, and they didn't keep birth records...or the birth records were destroyed in either the Rev. War or the Civil War. So the possibility of your finding birth records on these people, who have already been researched out the gazoo by many people, is next to zilch...especially the women, who were still considered chattel mostly and were not important in the larger scheme of things except to procreate and bear children.
