Thought some of you Youngers would get a kick out of a letter I have dated 1929 addressed to Radio Station WRR in Dallas, Texas, where my Mom, Lillamae Younger, was staff pianist, and my uncle, Dr. Harold B. Younger, sang in a quartette. Letter as follows: 338 w. 110th St. Chicago, Ill. Feb. 2nd, 1929 WRR Radio Sta. Dallas, Texas Your station came in clear on our radio this p.m. and at 8:45 p.m. this date, we heard The Gamboliers sing, "The Song I Love," followed by Dr. Harold Younger singing "Then Came the Dawn" Also, Miss Younger (my mom Lillamae) singing "Happy Days and Longely Nights." Then The Gamboliers singing, "Dear Little Home of My Dreams, and, "My Black Birds are Blue Birds Now." Followed by The Lucky Strike Cigarettes program. Very good program. We liked it all very much. .......... Yours truly, H. W. Nolan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------- Mom and Uncle Harold were very talented Youngers. :-) Happy New Year all!
