Let me first of all say that all of this info. is on the U.S. Genweb for St. Mary's County, MD under Migration from Maryland 1780-1820 and under wills for the following people. Robert Thompson(father of Elizabeth Thompson m. John Lee, Phillip Greenwell(ancestor of Phillip Greenwell m. Lucinthia Younger, John Lee m. Mary Goodrum and Sam Lee. Will of Phillip Greenwell-SMC(not sure what that stands for)9/4/1774-11/1/1774. Stock, tobacco and all of the tract where I now live except the pt. bought of Phillip Medley at the head of Medleys Branch, etc.. gives to children Mary and Joseph Greenwell( Mary Thompson Greenwell, daughter of Robert Thompson, his parents being George Thompson and Rebecca Medley.) Daughter Susanna Thompson m. Philmonia Lee moved to KY. The will of Robert Thompson, gives to sons Ignatius, Charles, and to my son Bennett all the tract of land where I now live conveyed to me by George Thompson(his father) and William Thompson. Gives to his daughters, Susanna Lee, Elizabeth Lee and Mary Greenwell, Eleanor Halls, etc... Will of John Lee m. Mary Goodrum. SMC-1/17/1757-6/9/1757. gives to sons Thomas and John Lee as does Mary Goodrum Lees will. Will of Sam Lee 10/1/ 1780-2/17/1783. mentions daughter Mary Goodrum, Elizabeth Thompson(leaves her a slave) and mentions Phillip Lee. Now I don't know who Rebecca Medleys father was but in the will of George Medley he mentions several brothers including Joseph Hardin. Also William Medley, and George Thompson. On the Migrations from Maryland list, you will notice that the Medleys lived on Hardins Creek in KY. And notice that Thomas Greenwell m. Mary Medley(Phillip Greenwell m. Lucintha's gr. grandparents and Anastasia Greenwell m. Joseph Medley. Needless to say these families married back and forth into each other. Issac Hardin m. Amelia Younger, probable sister of Capt. John W. Younger. Elizabeth Thompson Lee Ice was also somehow connected to the Greenwell children. Seems like Wilma Hillman sent me something that she was their like godparent or something similiar. (I'll have to find that).I just thought finding this family connection was interesting.
