I wrote to the Frederick County Historical Society in Hagerstown, Maryland and asked them what info. they had on the Youngers. They sent me a copy of Kennard Younger Rev.War Pension request, a copy of the John Younger/ Sara Kennard will and a will from a John Younger(says Anne Arundel County, original county)will dated Jan. 1687 guess it was sent to the Hall of Records in Annopolis, MD. I don't believe I have seen this will in the F.O.T.Y. book. Mentions children, John Younger, eldest son, Joane Younger, and William Younger. These three items came from the files of Mary V. Mish. Now I'm not sure and I need to e-mail the Historical Society again, who Mary Mish was. But I'm thinking by the letter I also recieved that she was an employee at some time. Anyways there was a letter to Mrs. Mish from an I Hardin. Now I Hardin starts out by saying"Here are the Kanard Younger pension papers, sorry they are so dim:so am I. (so funny). Then she discusses the Capt. Mark Hardin pension record, with his bible records. Discusses she was a Williams. One of her descendants, Mercy(Mary Williams m. Capt. Jonathon Stull. Her cousin Gracie was a White and the Whites married into the Stulls, therby that is where Sara White Stull Hardin m. Christopher Chinn came from. (The Stulls were in Frederick County, by the way)..A very interesting letter. She mentions she is 70 years old. The letter was wrote Oct 29, 1964, Clearwater, FL. She says at the end , if you don't have a copy of this Jonathon White will in your files, let me know, and I'll send it to you. It's all rather confusing.A descendant of Amelia and Isaac Hardin through Sara Hardin m. the Bennett. Told me she had the line as Isaac Hardin's parents were Mark Hardin m. Mary Crittendon, and one child was named Crittendon Hardin. Then that Marks father, was a Mark Hardin m. Mary Hogue and then that Mark Hardin had a father Mark m. a ? De Souchey. I don't know how true any of this is. I'm not sure who Capt. Mark Hardin married?.I don't know if she knows more than I do, but why is a Hardin sending Kennard Youngers Rev. war pension papers to this lady? Judy Hofstetter has hypothesized that possibly Tillard was Kennard. or was Kennard married to a Hardin? Any ideas? My question is ? One of the Younger gang boys had the middle name Hardin. Was it John? And then I saw in some of those Younger clipping that Leni sent out that his sister was named Heneritta Hardin Younger? I'm interested in who up the line married a Hardin? Where did the Hardin name come in? I'll be glad to send this letter from I Hardin to Mrs. Mish, by mail to anyone interested. It's interesting.
