    3. Wilma, thanks for clearing that up. I thought perhaps that he must have been married twice. I think you are right that Mary was his second wife's child. I am so glad to have his complete family. Now I wonder what the C, stands for. There is always one more thing you want to know, isn't there? I thank you ever so much and you too Wilma Hillman. I am sorry about the typo, because I knew your name was Hillman. You all do great work here. I will get the hang of it, hopefully and maybe provide some interesting data. Delores Wilma Norton <[email protected]> wrote: Delores, John C. was married twice, see source notes below, it lasted only a few months, from Feb. to Dec. according to the death notice, so very likely no children from that marriage. All the children were born to his second marriage. Also, the other Wilma is Wilma Hillman. If you see any additions or corrections I need to make to my file, please let me know. Just now, looking at my info, I wonder if the first born child, Mary E. should be listed as a step-child of John? Looks like she may have been a daughter by Helen's first marriage? Younger and family I want to thank Leni, Wilma Norton and Wilma Willman for all the information you found on my grandfather's family. All here find so many interesting facts of people's personal histories and share. How wonderful! I am still trying to get more time for it. Leni, on Jan 29, 2007, you posted the genealogy of Capt. Henry Younger that Wilma had previously posted. I did not see her post so I was glad to see yours. This seems to be my line, but I am confused. Generation 2 is my great great grand parents, Robert Anderson and Edith Horn. I won't copy all of the post, but it states: "To the children by my first wife: William H.H. (not my grandfather), Anderson F., Henry J., Eliza A.F. Points, wife of Joseph A. Points; Robert M., John C., Martha J. Radford, wife of Henry F. Radford; and the legal heirs of Sarah S. Teas, formerly wife of George W. Teas, dec. To my youngest daughter, Julia Bennetta..." On down it states : " 11 vii. John C. Younger, (my great grandfather) born 1828 (Source: 1850 Dist. 8 Boone Co. MO, John C. 22 NC.). He married Martha Jane Angell February 26, 1852 in Boone County, Missouri (Source: Ancestry.com, Missouri Marriages, 1851-1900, "Electronic.")." On Dec 7, 2006 Wilma Willman posted "I have in my records: William H Harrison Younger b 17 Nov 1858 Centralia, Benton County, MO d 14 Feb 1949 Greenville, Hunt County TX m 7 Oct 1888 Greenville, Hunt County TX to Minnie Reynolds b 4 Jun 1872 Duchess NY d 28 Nov 1949 Greenville, Hunt County TX. His parents were John C Younger and Helen Harris. His grandparents were Rev Robert Anderson Younger and Edith Horn." My conflict is who John C.Younger was married to, Helen Harris or Martha Jane Angell. Does anyone know who his other children were. Was he married twice? My understanding is that my grandfather, William Henry Harrison Younger, had several siblings. Would appreciate any information. I knew there was a doctor in the family. My mother spoke of her and her cousin sneaking one of her father's medical books to look at. Medicine was pretty mysterious a hundred years ago. I knew my grandfather was a strong Methodist and that there was a preacher in the family, but I didn't know it was his grandfather. My Aunt took my mother to the Church of Christ, and Grandmother also converted to the Church of Christ, but he wouldn't attend. Thanks for any further information anyone comes up with.
