In 1850 he is listed as William A.; in 1860 he is also listed as William A.; in 1870 he is listed as Alex and in 1880 he is listed as W.A. He was born in Virginia and married in Halifax then migrated to Carroll Co. TN -- so it is possible he is a son of Williamson and Mary Bomar. Some of their other children took the same migration path. But, moving the William who married Pricilla Jones to William and Mary Watkins line -- what do you base this on? The both start out in VA then move on to Carroll Co. TN - and this William goes on to Independence Co. AR. William Alexander and Elizabeth Martin seem to have remained in Carroll County. At least I haven't traced them any further. Wilma, I'm sorry, I was a little behind in reading emails so I just read this one. It seems a logical conclusion that we have the SAME William Younger and Elizabeth in the Carroll county censi that we also have a marriage record for (William Younger and Elizabeth Martin) in Halifax. However, I've always had a nagging question whether they actually are the same William and Elizabeth Younger. Do you have any information that would substantiate that they are the same people? My personal records handed down to me from my mother only went as far back as John T. Younger. I have made the connection on logic only and would like to have a supporting source.
