Wilma, I am still digging....I saw that also. But as it was Lizzie's Bible and she was probably the one to write it. I think it needs further investigation. I know first hand that the Census takers made an awful lot of mistakes. Hiram ,Harmon they sound alike especially if it was an older person doing the recording they may have misunderstood. And as for my family in the Census I can't tell you how many went by their middle names instead of their first, I have a James Charles Jensen "Charlie" ,I have a Cora Alberta "Bertie" .I have Alma Gertrude who went by Lucy all her life. I have Sarah Ellen who was listed as" Ella S." her nick name My Andrew Hall is down as Hawl in the 1850 Census & Hale in the 1860 Census The list goes on and on.
