No I don't have anything to prove this is the same William who married Elizabeth Martin. One avenue I would suggest for study would be their second son, James M. If you can find anything anywhere that would give James middle name, and if that name were James Martin, I believe that would surely tie them together. Several of the Younger children have had their mother's maiden name as a middle name. Maybe that is the case here too. And a thorough search of the Carroll County court and land records might yield results. Bible records would be another great resource.
