    3. Judy, There is $11 in the fund right now. The kit is $99 plus $2 shipping for a total of $101, less the $11 so we still need $90. Anyone can donate any amount to the fund by clicking here and designating it for the Younger project. http://www.familytreedna.com/contribution.html As for your other question, I'm too tired to think tonight. Maybe Brownie can answer your question or I'll tackle it tomorrow. And I hate to be dense Judy, but what Joseph Younger mystery are we talking about? I haven't been following things to carefully:( Bobbi -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Judy Sent: Saturday, January 27, 2007 11:42 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [YOUNGER] Joseph Younger I have said this on other occasions. Michael Younger who wrote the article on page 33 of F.O.T.Y.(on Joseph Younger ) would probably give his DNA to solve the Joseph Younger mystery. If we all donated 25.00 to the fund, I'll call him and ask him. I did talk to him for a few minutes and he seemed interested. But he was going out of town. It would solve one mystery. I really hate to call someone and ask without saying we'll pay for it because in my opinion we want the info. Roberta or Brownie, how much is in the fund? Enough to do this one? By the way, I know it is confidential info. but who was the last "gang" Younger DNA participant? I mean the line, not the person.By the way Humphrey Younger, Sr. had a James and he had a James, not much info. on them. Wasn't there a book on James Younger, the Welborns , Evans', and Teagues several years ago? It was mentioned on this site. They lived in the backwoods and started their own little "State". I got it. "State of Jones". Actual! ly the Teagues were from Maryland, I guess they went to South Carolina and later moved to Hopkinsville(some of them). One of them married into Willis Youngers first wifes family (the Oates). There still there today(Teague's Food City is up the road in Oak Grove, KY) and there is an article on that family in the Madisonville City Yearbook. The Welborns moved to Muhlenburg County, next door. There is a book in the Madisonville Genealogy library on that family. I'm thinking it was Aron Welborn. I sent Wilma Hillman a copy of the first chapter of that book one time. There was a Van Sweargin Teague and there were some Van Sweargin's in Bullit County who seems one of them married into the Younger family there. Charles Younger in his will had a John VanSweargin as a witness.Just some interesting info. Not to say that the James Younger, the Bapist preacher, was from the Humphrey Younger family. But I have often wondered, but I thought you all had him pegged to Alexander Younger. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
