Brownie, That's alright! He's kind of a collateral line, so it's more curiousity on my part. One of the son's (I'm assuming he was May Pauline's and not the first wife) was Pierce Camp JR. He's the one that went by P.C. from what I can tell. In a Sunset Cemetery transcription and also pictures that I took of the gravestones, P.C.'s wife was Christine (Ledford). At the time that I took the pictures in 2001, she was not deceased, or at least not buried with P.C. JR. Oh well, got to do some more research on it! Actually, I have to be honest, I never heard the name Pierce Camp Younger until today. So I know absolutely nothing about him. Even tho' all my Youngers lived within spittin' distance of Montague County, I never heard of P. C. or Pierce Camp or Pierce Younger. I grew up in Sherman,Grayson County, TX. My dad was Grady Ellis. My mother was a Younger from Williamson Henry Younger. WH's father was James Williamson Younger, who lived in Clay County, TX (Henrietta). James W.'s father was Williamson Younger of Carroll County, TN, and Williamson was son of Williamson and Mary Bomar Younger of Halifax, VA. This last Williamson was son of William and Mary Watkins Younger. I wish I could help you with Pierce. The two census I looked at...I believe...1900-1910 both had May's name as wife. ??? I may should recheck that. On 1/29/07, Alice Davis <[email protected]> wrote: > > Brownie, That's alright! Alice, butting in here, but I wanted to tell you I found Pierce Camp in 1900 census with wife, Mary. They had three children, two names I was unable to read, and a Clemmie C. or L. I feel quite sure the "Camp" in is name is from his mother's maiden name, Julia Weston Lewis Camp. I believe there is a Musetta name in there somewhere too. The children were quite small, so Pierce must have divorced Mary and she remarried and kept the children, or else she moved out of state, or something, because I looked all over for the Younger children from his first marriage and couldn't find a trace. If Mary had just died, then it seems logical that Pierce would have them with him in 1910. In 1910, he said he had been married to May P. for 9 years.
