Hello, This morning I was going through notebooks of family records ( Birth Cert.,Death cert. wills etc. ) & just happened to think of a few questions. 1. Did anyone ever find a will for Thomas Younger or Mary Nall Younger ? 2. When Thomas disappeared ...(I am sure they all were looking for him). What happened later ??? I have been trying to find newspaper articles that might mention a search or later on maybe an article about the finding of the bones in the cave.Have any of you ever run across any articles that might mention any of this? Other than the letter from Ellen London that tells of the cave story...any more news ? That I am just missing ? Believe me I look all the time....reading articles from newspaper archives etc..And I have not found a single one yet...lol 3. What about a headstone or memorial stone for Thomas? Did the family ever do anything ? any stories or family rumors to share ? ( looking for more clues )...lol 4.I still have not found the resting place of their son Joseph Younger or of his wife Susan McCurley. Has anyone found anything new on a Joseph Younger they can not place? If so would you share it ?. 5. I would like to have pictures of any and all descendants of This Younger family line and of the various other branches... for my Genealogy program. It makes the search so much more fun to have a face to go along with them.Do you have any to share? 6. Have a nice day ,I just thought I might stir up a little conversation on this family today.Anything new from anyone ? I found some more articles written by Juliette ( Younger )Babbitt .The daughter of Joseph Younger & Susan McCurley. But other than that things have been kind of slow. I'm curious, Leni...I found a William Younger and a John Nall in Williamson County, TN in 1830. Has anyone looked there. According to some information I have, that's where Thomas was when he died in 1834. Did he have a son named William? Brownie, Yes that is where he was when died in October 1834. I have read through hundreds of papers looking for clues. From old books, newspaper archives,etc.etc.And still have not found a single thing.Other than what we already know. So I decided this year to try and find out more.To really button down and focus on him.In the hope I might run across something that mentions his son Joseph.Thomas Younger did have a son William born in 1808 who was five years younger than Joseph. Do you remember what the paper was about that you found ? On William and John Nall ? Thanks again, Leni --------------------------------- Don't get soaked. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea of this Thomas's first wife, "Mary"? I found a marriage record for Thomas to Sarah G.K. Church on the TN genweb site, under Early Marriages Records of Williamson Co. He would have been around 25 or so when he married her in 1823. She was still his wife in 1850-60 and 70, so Mary would have had to be a first wife. That is, IF in fact he was ever married to a Mary. The person giving the information for the stone may have just thought he was first married to a Mary. Or possibly the person who submitted the info for the cemetery book. I have the cemetery book and it doesn't say anything about "h/o of Mary and S.G.K." in the book. It just lists Sarah G.K. and Thomas right under her name - so possibly whoever submitted the info to cemeteries on-line at rootsweb, added the information themselves. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I do not believe Thomas was ever married to a Mary before he married Sarah Church. They are "trying" to say that Thomas was first married to Mary "Polly" Nall, 1787 in Williamson County and then to Sarah Church. Is that even possible??? That the Thomas who married Mary Nall was married to Sarah Church when Mary died??? We have to be specific here - there are too many Thomas, Mary and Joseph's! I have Joseph W. b. 1803 NC (m. Susanna McCurley) as the son of Thomas and Mary Nall, and therefore brother to Thomas who married Sarah GK Church. Is this what you have?
