    3. I got to thinking about the name and remembered a very similiar name in the family of Isaac Younger of Bullitt County, seems he moved to Illinois.Birkhead Younger. Always struck me as a strange name. Below is from www.rootsweb.com. I put in Birkhead Younger.• ID: I52694 • Name: James Younger • Sex: M • Birth: ABT 1823 in Bullitt Co, Kentucky • Note: Note: 1850 Bullitt Co, KY Census James YOUNGER 29m farmer Harriett 22 f Ellen 4f Rebeca ? 16 f NOTES: James YOUNGER m. Harriet GARR Nov. 19, 1845. He was s/o Isaac YOUNGER and Eleanor YOUNGER ( they were cousins ) Harriett is the daughter of Benjamin Garr and the sister of Rebecca Garr (16f). Benjamin Garr was deceased by the time Harriett married. James and Harriett Younger had Luellen (ca. 1846), John W. (ca. 1851), Lydia Ann (ca. 1852), Joseph Birkhead (ca. 1855), and James B. (ca. 1865). Lydia Ann Younger married Isaac Noe on 4 Jul 1882. Joseph Birkhead Younger married Amanda Hazzard on 31 Jan 1887. Rebecca Garr married Jefferson Younger (b. ca. 1840) on 28 Jul 1861, Bullitt Co. • Change Date: 20 JAN 2008 Father: Isaac Younger b: 30 NOV 1801 in Bullitt Co, Kentucky Mother: Eleanor Younger b: 13 MAY 1802 in Kentucky Marriage 1 Harriett Garr b: ABT 1828 in Kentucky • Married: 19 NOV 1845 in Bullitt Co, Kentucky Children 1. Joseph Birkhead Younger b: ABT 1855 in Bullitt Co, Kentucky Seems pretty logical that name could have come from Birkenhead. What kind of stories have you heard that you weren't sure to be proved or disproved? Such as a relative of the Younger "gang" by chance? -----Original Message----- >From: Geoff Rowland <katsus19@yahoo.co.uk> >Sent: Sep 29, 2008 12:42 PM >To: YOUNGER@rootsweb.com >Subject: [YOUNGER] Youngers of BirKenhead > >Is anybody else out there in Rootsweb-land interested in the YOUNGER family from Birkenhead. > >In the 1881 census they were the only family of that name in >Birkenhead.
