All - I'm trying to sort out a pretty nasty mess in some files for Thomas Younger (son of Alexander and/or father of William) of Essex/Halifax. We've gone around on this once or twice, so I'm going to try and phrase this correctly. What do we KNOW about Thomas? The stuff that can be reasonably proved (there's alway a little bit of "educated guesswork" involved). Here's some of the clutter that's been created in this file (much of which I KNOW is incorrect): Birth Date: 1700, abt 1700, abt 1706, 1710 Birth Place: Halifax, Virginia; Essex, Virginia Marriage Date: 1725, 1730, 1735, 1745, 1750 Spouses: Mary Northern, Mary (Polly) Nall, Sara/Sarah Ferguson Death Date: aft 11 Aug 1725, frm 1753-1792, 1759, 11 Aug 1791, 24 Oct 1791 Death Place: Halifax, Virginia; Essex, Virginia In the interest of full disclosure, I'll tell you that I'm trying to clean up the records in the newFamilySearch interface that the LDS church is working on. If that means you don't want to help me, I'm used to that - but please understand that I'm trying to clean up this mess, complaining about it hasn't made it any better yet for anybody, and now I have an opportunity to really clarify things for the next generation of researchers to look at this database.
