For purposes of the database, I'm willing to deal with an acceptable level of uncertainty. I'd love to have the "Alexander > Thomas > William" versus "Alexander > Thomas > Thomas > William" issue fully squared away (it's the genealogy question that truly haunts me), but unless we can find a way to un-burn a courthouse or two that isn't likely to happen. Someday, I hope to write out a good argument - but it hasn't happened yet.
