    2. That what I was questioning, because on the Texas Death Certificate the name of the father is written as "William Armistead Younger". Brownie, it's still possible he did have that first name of William, but the Stone County Genealogical Society who did a whole lot of work on him and his line never suggested that he was a William Armistead. Or it could be that whoever gave the information for the death certificate gave "oral history" or made an assumption.....no way to know now.
