Leni, try FERGUSON instead of Farguson. I have a john Ferguson d abt 1786 in Bedofrd cty VA married to a Mary Gill. He was the son of Moses Ferguson and had a son named John. Moses was married to Sophia Phelps. Sophia was a descendant of a John Phelps and Susannah Younger. Susannah was the daughter of a John Younger and Ann Moss. This is not my line and the info was gained 10 or 15 years ago. I have dates and places but no idea how accurate any of it is.
