    3. Evelle Jansen (1918-1989) - also known as Evelle J. Younger - of California. Born in Stamford, Harlan County, Neb., June 19, 1918. Son of Harry C. Younger and Maebel (Jansen) Younger; married, July 3, 1942, to Mildred Eberhard. Republican. Served in the U.S. Army during World War II; FBI agent; lawyer; municipal judge in California, 1953-58; superior court judge in California, 1958-64; Los Angeles County District Attorney, 1964-70; California state attorney general, 1971-79; delegate to Republican National Convention from California, 1972; candidate for Governor of California, 1978. Episcopalian. Member, American Bar Association; American Legion; Freemasons; Shriners; Elks; Alpha Tau Omega. Died, of arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles County, Calif., May 4, 1989.     3. Heres all I have: Name: Evelle J. Younger Born: 19 Jun 1918 in Nebraska Died: 04 May 1989 in Unknown SSN: 508-03-0222 Source of all info: A book named "Younger's Since the Civil War". Subtitled 'Younger family birth & death records' and ' Younger family residence records'. Don't ask, I don't have this book, it was one I found in a library somewhere in Georgia (Savannah or Athens ???) years ago and copied some info out of.
