    2. Some background information: When the Mormon church put all of the records from the Ancestral File on disks for public use there was a huge cry and demand that all information on living persons be deleted.? So that was taken care of immediately.? Any information now on Family Search will list only those who are deceased, and only those who have been dead over 1 year. When anyone requested data from me, I used the same rule.? Anything on living members of my family, I deleted. Now the time for public domain (if what I read is accurate), the period 110 years.? What this will do for releasing the 1940 census is questionable.? Since there will b so many of us listed who are still living.? As we live longer the issues of privacy of records becomes more important.? Canadian records now are restricted to 110 years, including the census, or that was the last report that I heard. As for being upset, Brownie, I would be too and Ancestry should have had better sense that to made it public. I don't know who posted it. I was going to the library to find out this morning, but the weather is dark as night and lightening right now, so I'm just biding my time until I can go look it up...I'm not a member of Ancestry, so I can't get into the program. I received the info from somebody else. I'll let you know. sincerely, Brownie In a message dated 4/17/2009 12:56:55 P.M. My wife's grand-uncle uploaded our info (or rather, a sloppy version of it) then died ... now there's nobody to remove it. UGH! Please email me off-list if it appears that anyone in my clan is responsible for this. - Stephen On Fri, Apr 17, 2009 at 8:14 AM, <Mbmackie1231@aol.com> wrote: > Dear Youngers: > > I DO NOT ALLOW POSTING/PUBLICATION ON ANCESTRY.COM <http://ancestry.com/>(nor any other > genealogy company) OF MY E-MAILS TO ANY OF YOU.
