What follows are notes from the research on this family by me and another Bullitt County researcher I worked with. There is additional information on the children of this Isaac, but I have not had time to organize and put in computer. 1. Isaac Younger Sr. is on Bullitt Co. tax list from 1813 to 1847. He has two children 7 to 17 in 1840, and is taxed for 200 acres on Cane Run in 1847. (Bullitt Co. tax Books 1798-1867. FHL film #7900-01) Note: names in parenthesis are best guestimates according to additional census & other records 2. Kentucky 1810 census, Bullitt Co: Isaac Younger males 0-10 2 (1800-10) (James & Gilbert) 26-45 1 (1765-84) (Isaac) females 16-26 1 (1784-94) (Mrs.) 3. Kentucky 1820 census, Bullitt Co: Isaac Younger males 0-10 2 (1810-20) (William & Henry) 10-16 2 (1804-10) (James & Gilbert) 45 up 1 (bef 1775) (Isaac) females 0-10 1 (1810-20) (America &?) 20-30 1 (1780-90) (Mrs.) 4. Kentucky 1840 census, Bullitt Co: Isaac Younger males 15-20 2 (1820-25) (Squire, Lemuel, or Limner) 60-70 1 (1770-80) (Isaac) 40-50 1 (1790-00) (Mrs.) 6. This indenture made....on the 7 day of August 1848 between Isaac Younger of the one part, and Harriet Younger of the other part both of Bullitt County. Witnesseth said Isaac Younger.... hath sold....unto said Harriett Younger......a certain tract of land lying in Bullitt County Ky near Lee's Brick House containing about 200 acres in two entries adjoining....also all the hogs that said Younger now owns and all the corn now growing in the field also a table that said Isaac Younger now owns to be given up to said Harriet Younger for which she....agreed to give....a bed stead that she now owns.....(and) ....$25 the receipt of which is acknowledged.......... Sign Isaac Younger (his mark) Harriet Younger (her mark) Rec'd of Harriet Younger the consideration in full of the purchase money of this deed witnesseth by hand this 30 March 1849. Sign Isaac Younger (his mark) (Bullitt Co. Deed Book L p. 386) Note: Where did Isaac get this land? 7. Land dispute between (siblings) Henry Younger and Harriett Younger, April 1849, places Isaac's death between Aug 1848, and April 1849....."Isaac Younger remained on said land from the time he took up the same until 1848 which was a great number of years, to wit 25 years, claiming and holding it as his own property ..." He took up residency on the tract next to Lee's brick house about 1823. Note: according to the deposition in the case file, Harriett claimed her father, Isaac, deeded this land to her as she agreed to care for him in his old age. Henry claimed the land was his and that he obtained the patent for his father. An Isaac Younger married Henrietta Maria Randall, 31 Jan 1801 in Kent Co. Maryland. This could be same Isaac Younger (See Younger bible record: 1981 Ky Ancestors V16-3. p. 153.) Descendants of this family have tradition story that their Youngers were from Scotland. ************************************** Deborah Campisano ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wilma (Younger) Norton" <wilma.norton@cox.net> To: "JudyFoley" <judyfoley@peoplepc.com>; <younger@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, February 23, 2009 11:44 AM Subject: Re: [YOUNGER] Isaac Younger > In the FOTY book, page 254, there is a marriage listed for Isaac Younger > to > Henrietta Maria Randall dated 31 Jan 1801......so, I'm wondering if the > Marie Randall and Heneritta named below were not the same person?
