Hardin of Frankfort, KY for $1 part of a tract of 500a on Clear Creek where McMunn lives. Witnesses: George W Pleasants, Robert Johnston and Mark Hardin, Register of the KY Land Office p. 18 26 Mar 1810 Indenture between James and Sally Colenan of Lexigton, Fayette Co, KY to Richard H. Wilcocks, Philadelphia, PA for $600 on the waters on and between Nolin Creek and Green River. Land patented in the name of G and C Hart and sold as belonging to John Wilcockxs by Mark Hardin, Esq. Register of the Ky Land Office for the taxes and interest due for 1803 and 1804 and conveyed to Coleman on 11 Dec 1805. Witnesses: Robert Todd, Notary Public and recorded 26 Mar 1810 in Fayette. Mark Hardin, Register of the KY Land Office. Sally relinquished her dower rights. p. 38 Willis A. Lee, John Allin, Mark Hardin and John A Mitchell bound to the Commonwealth for $10,000 for the services of Willis A Lee as Clerk of the General Court for Kentucky. p. 169 8 Jan 1812 Mark Hardin of Frankfort, KY holding title to 400a on the Tennessee River in Livingston County KY patented to Hardin and Willis Morgan assignee of the New Athens Seminary appoints Willis Morgan of Muhlenburg County as his attorney in fact to sell and convey the sd land. Witnesses: John M. Foster, and Robert W Ewing. Recorded Ky Court of Appeals p. 180 Whereas Mark Hardin, late Register did on 3 Nov 1812 expose for sale at auction at the door of the State House in Frankfort a tract of 1,000a entered with the Auditor of Public Accounts as belonging to Francis Meier a non resident of the state lying on the Tradeater River. John Upshaw Waring became the purchaser of the whole tract for $3.65 the amount of the taxes and costs thereon. Witnesses: Willis Morgan, Jacob Swigert p. 181 Multiple sales followed. A tract blonging to Andrew Lewis, a non resident was sold in similar fashion followed by a tract bounded by William Price. 3 Dec 1816 John M Foster, Register of the Land Office, sold in similar fashion to Jacob Yoder, assignee of Mark Hardin of Shelby County KY. Foster sold the property of Daniel Ross, a non resident, lying in Henry County. Mark Hardin bought the property for $7.93. Mark assigned it to Jacob Yoder for $73. Mark apparently had found a career which brought him much success. The sales are too numerous to outline specifically but apparently it became his chosen livlihood. p. 444 5 Feb 12820 Andrew McCalla of Lexington sold to Mark Hardin of Shelby County KY for five shillings 1/2 lot in the town of Danville, Mercer County, KY, 1/4 mile north of the public square. !BURIAL Dhonau farm with parents
