I was searching in SSDI and found the person I was looking for (I think) and wanted to order the SS-5 for any additional information. I've done this several times and found some additional info I didn't have. The cost was $7.50 if you supply the Soc Sec No. When I clicked over to write the letter to request the SS-5 - lo and behold the cost is now $27 (gasp) (choke) -- I couldn't believe it. They said I could get a NUMIDENT copy - whatever that is - for $16. Maybe this is how we help bail out Social Security???? Wilma
