Yes, this is the cast of characters. I have always wondered if Elizabeth wasn't also a child of Charles'. She was a mere child when she had these two children. First of all, she is known to have been a mullatto (fathered by whom???? if not Charles) He left 200 acres of land to Fanny, Nathan, Washington, Elizabeth. For his children by Elizabeth, they were to be taken north where"their morals would be protected" and they were to receive a proper English education. They both graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio. The boy went black and the girl went white so some of her descendants have had no idea that they descended from slaves when they started their genealogy. They have been wonderfully talented researchers and appreciate their heritage - be it, a surprise.
