I never thought of that! I have that she was b 1832 in Jackson, Mo., so I looked in the 1850 AIS and found there were 5 heads of household in Jackson, so there were Simpsons there then. I wish I had the hours to do the work on each individual, but there are so many avenues. It would be of interest here to see how Elizabeth came to be in Charles' household. Was she the child of another slave and Charles? Was she purchased, is there a record. It does go on...and on...
